China Beijing International Acupuncture Training CenterSet up at the request of the World Health Organization (WHO) and approved by the State Council of P.R.C.China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC) was formally founded in 1975. Since its foundation, it has been supported and administered by WHO, the Chinese government, State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) and China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS) . Now it has developed into a world famous authoritative training organization. History
More than 30 years ago, in order to meet foreign friends’ requests to learn acupuncture, some international organizations asked China to establish an Acupuncture Training Center. On August 2, 1974, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Cooperation and Trade jointly applied to the State Council for guidelines on conducting acupuncture training for foreign doctors in China. Approved by the State Council in April 1975, the International Acupuncture Training Center was set up. It was determined as an International Acupuncture Research Training Center by the U.N.D.P. in 1982, and renamed China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC), according to No.281 Document of China Ministry of Health in 1983.
Since 1975, aiming to popularize traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture in the world, China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center(CBIATC) has been working actively to accomplish the task, “to perfect ways of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture training and provide more opportunities for foreign doctors”, assigned by WHO. According to statistics, so far CBIATC has provided training in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, Tuina (Chinese massage), Qigong, etc. for over 10000 medical doctors and students from 106 countries and regions.
The expert teachers of CBIATC have been invited for traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture training, medical practice, and academic exchanges to Germany, Norway, U.S.A, Great Britain, Japan, France, Switzerland, and Holland, etc. More than 30 years’ experience has created an excellent teaching team. Led by the academician, Prof. Cheng Xinnong, the teachers will help you surmount language obstacles, learn about Chinese culture and experience the marvelous effect of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.

As a part of the WHO collaborating center for traditional Chinese medicine, CBIATC has good cooperative relations with WHO.
